Our second annual 5 mile fun run in Colne Engaine and this year we’ve added a 10 mile run.
Starting at the Colne Engaine Village Green, the course takes you along country lanes on a figure of eight, with the 10 mile run taking two laps of the route. The end of the run is a downhill dash, finishing with a run along Pebmarsh Road and back onto the Green cheered by a roaring crowd!
To see the route and to enter, go to Colne Engaine 5 & 10 mile Fun Run Facebook page or www.colneengainefestival.co.uk or visit www.entrycentral.com where you can select “Colne Engaine 5 & 10 mile Fun Run”. Entry fee £10. Online entries close Saturday 2nd September. Some entries may be available on the day for the adult races if we have not reached our maximum – an additional £1 per entrant will be charged. The results will be published as soon as possible after the run.
There will be scrummy cakes, tea, coffee and cold drinks available at the Village Hall and there will also be the now-famous bacon butties – one for every runner, no charge, we just ask for a donation towards our local charities and good causes.
Children’s Fun Run
This will take place on the recreation ground and field behind the village hall and will be completely ‘off road’, following the edges of the fields (and therefore not suitable for pushchairs). The route will be marshalled, but all children under 8 should be accompanied by an adult. If your under 8 is quicker than you now is the time to start your training!
Entry on the day. Medals and prizes for all children.
